Gesang der Jünglinge (Song of the Youths) experiments with the imagery of memory, based on an autobiographical video archive. The (in)capacity to remember and the tendency to re-construct the past creates complex levels of interpretation. Authentic and staged worlds collide, merge into each other, segregate and play with the sensuality of grasping and the graspable.

The title „Gesang der Jünglinge“ is linking to Stockhausen’s music concept of moment form –“a mosaic of moments“.

The video was staged as a time–based and site specific video installation on a tourist boat.
